It’s been one of those weekends where Saturday I just felt like relaxing and was VERY lazy. BTW, why is that, that sometimes we just get that lazy sickness. It’s so powerful that it actually consumes every ounce of energy that you have. Well, that was Saturday, and Sunday was a new day. I realized that something had to be done. The house needed to be cleaned first of all. BADLY. The back porch needed to be watered off and cleaned and my truck needed a severe cleaning. Add to that the rocks on the side of our home needed to be put back since construction is complete on our pool. Where I found the energy to get all of this done in the Arizona heat is beyond me. But I did accomplish it and you know what? It feels good sitting back with a bottle of wine and relaxing knowing that everything is clean. I love that feeling.
Today I went out and bought a new trash can for our house finally. I’ve been bugging Jenny to get one because those other ones are such an eye sore but also because they’re just cheap and dirty. I didn’t get the latest and greatest in trash can technology, but one that does look nice that you can step on to open the lid.
Wednesday, we’re having Brian, our Realtor, over for barbecue. He’ll be bringing his kids and wife, Susan. He has the cutest kids and we just think they are all so awesome. We really like them and have a great time hanging out with them.
Today we had some salesmen come to our door offering everything from steak to seafood from their distribution company based in Phoenix. After reviewing the meat and quality of preparation of it, we bought 60 cuts of very nice meat. I mean nice meat, unlike you would find in the store. I think we’ll buy from them again. Basically I spend about 5-6 dollars on each cut of meat when we go to the store. Well today I spent on average 2 dollars per cut. And much better cuts of meat at that! Lovely. Today was just meant to be a great day. I gave them a tip albeit not much, but it was really for being American and working hard—and then they were off.
