Called jaxtr, the service gives members the opportunity to link their phone numbers to a personalized URL to hear from callers visiting their social networks or blogs. Instead of making their real phone numbers public, the social networker or blogger would share the link, with jaxtr, acting as the intermediary, making the phone call happen. Unlike Internet-based services like eBay’s Skype and Google’s ) Google Talk where you need to make the phone call on your computer with a microphone, jaxtr works with any existing cell phone and landline.
It’s pretty cool, combining two things that are rapidly joining forces… mobile’s and the internet
Basically you sign up like I did and create your account, then you personalize the widgit you want… they have plenty of options. Then when someone wants to call you they can go to your site and enter their phone number and hit “call” and let Jaxtr do the rest! Jaxtr then places a call to the person you are trying to get in touch with, and then after it connects, it calls you and allows you to talk all while keeping your number private. It’s pretty cool. It’s kinda like 3way phone calls in a way but without having to talk via a computer and headset.
