It’s been one of those weekends where Saturday I just felt like relaxing and was VERY lazy. BTW, why is that, that sometimes we just get that lazy sickness. It’s so powerful that it actually consumes every ounce of energy that you have. Well, that was Saturday, and Sunday was a new day. I realized that something had to be done. The house needed to be cleaned first of all. BADLY. The back porch needed to be watered off and cleaned and my truck needed a severe cleaning. Add to that the rocks on the side of our home needed to be put back since construction is complete on our pool. Where I found the energy to get all of this done in the Arizona heat is beyond me. But I did accomplish it and you know what? It feels good sitting back with a bottle of wine and relaxing knowing that everything is clean. I love that feeling.
Today I went out and bought a new trash can for our house finally. I’ve been bugging Jenny to get one because those other ones are such an eye sore but also because they’re just cheap and dirty. I didn’t get the latest and greatest in trash can technology, but one that does look nice that you can step on to open the lid.
Wednesday, we’re having Brian, our Realtor, over for barbecue. He’ll be bringing his kids and wife, Susan. He has the cutest kids and we just think they are all so awesome. We really like them and have a great time hanging out with them.
Today we had some salesmen come to our door offering everything from steak to seafood from their distribution company based in Phoenix. After reviewing the meat and quality of preparation of it, we bought 60 cuts of very nice meat. I mean nice meat, unlike you would find in the store. I think we’ll buy from them again. Basically I spend about 5-6 dollars on each cut of meat when we go to the store. Well today I spent on average 2 dollars per cut. And much better cuts of meat at that! Lovely. Today was just meant to be a great day. I gave them a tip albeit not much, but it was really for being American and working hard—and then they were off.
Steaks look Yummy!! BTW, why haven’t you posted pool pics?!!

Oh, the pool pictures are posted under “Gallery” at the top. That’s where you can go for all our trips/events/ .....and future baby pictures. hehe.
You’re website is setup in such a way that when you’re ready we can put these galleries on your website as well. They are extremely easy to use and you can upload literally any image to them in directories you create, all on your own site without any third party software! Just lemme know when you wanna do this.

I just realized that our pool is also a Shasta pool. I realized this when I saw the Shasta logo they put on your pool, looks exactly like ours except ours says “Master Pools”. Turns out Master Pools is a Shasta brand.
I also noticed they used the same plastic separator strips on the border of your pool. BEWARE OF THESE! They won’t cause a problem at first, but after awhile they just cannot hold up to the sun, and they end up cracking and rotting away, and you can’t just slip new ones in because the concrete is molded around them. Take a look at ours the next time you are over and you will see. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to deal with it…maybe replacing the strips with some hard caulking or something.
Thanks for the heads up Big Ballz McFadden. Reading your response gave me cause for alarm cause we both have Shasta pools. But then I realized that our pool doesn’t have any plastic strips. There is a picture of them but those were used to form the cement and were torn out as soon as the cement hardened and lay in our backyard until they finally hauled them off to the dump. As far as the siding is concerned, it’s nothing but cement and caulking. Where exactly is this plastic on your pool at? Just curious so I know where to look more specifically.
Next entry: I can't even think of a title for this
